Public Notice

PUBLIC NOTICE
The BRUNNER HILL WATER ASSOCIATION is a public water system subject to regulation under the federal Safe Drinking Water Act. Those regulations require the notification of customers whenever a violation occurs, and is the basis for this notice.
The water system failed to meet the requirements of the Rules and Regulations Pertaining to Water Operator Licensing during April 2025.
The Rules and Regulations of the Arkansas Department of Health require each public water system to use the services of a qualified operator. A qualified operator is defined as a person holding an appropriate valid Water Operator's License based on the type of water system and population served.
While Brunner Hill Water Association will remain in violation until the requirements of the Rules and Regulations pertaining to Water Operator Licensing are met, a qualified Superintendent, with a valid Water Operator's License, has been hired and is scheduled to begin employment on Monday, July 14th, 2025.
The temporary failure to meet this requirement does not necessarily mean that the water is unsafe or that alternate sources of water should be used.
While Brunner Hill Water Association had been actively seeking a qualified employee, a former Water Operator was brought aboard to manage the system and ensure distribution of clean, safe water. Although the former Water Operator had an expired license, he had decades of experience and knowledge. When the new Superintendent begins employment on Monday, July 14, 2025, Brunner Hill Water Association will no longer be in violation of the Rules and Requirements set forth by the Arkansas Department of Health.
